This site makes use of XHTML, CSS. Some Javascript is used for Internet Explorer 6.

Pages have been tested in the browsers Safari, Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer 6, and Internet Explorer 7. Internet Explorer is incomatable with many of the features used on this site, so a special version was created to work with that browser. If you are using Internet Explorer 6, please upgrade to a different browser.

Efforts were made to make the site accessable to handheld browsers. The site also features an optimized printing stylesheet.

Minimum recommended window size for viewing this site is 600 pixels.

Pages, CSS files, and RSS files consist only of validated markup. All pages are valid XHTML 1.1 Documents.

The previous version of this site won first place for rock club websites in the South Central Federation of Mineral Societies in 2006.

About the Webmaster

Dwight House is a local computer geek whose interests include video games, website design, and technology. He is majoring as a computer scientist at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He can always be found carrying his laptop around when he's not in his room working on some project. Dwight has been a member of the Ark-La-Tex Gem & Mineral Society for many years and volunteered his services for this site.
